Mince Pies

These traditional British pies are a festive must-have at Christmas. Fill with a dried fruit mixture, bake and serve with brandy butter.

  1. Fit max blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add icing sugar and butter to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Blend with filler cap fitted - 30 sec, speed 12
  6. Then add all purpose flour, salt and egg to the dough
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted until mixture comes together - 20 sec, speed 12
  8. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  9. Divide into halves
  10. Wrap with plastic wrap
  11. Chill in fridge - approx 1 hr
  12. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  13. Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
  14. Cut out into rounds
  15. Line a clean cupcake pan
  16. Pre-bake - 5 min, 180°C
  17. Spoon mince pie filling into the cupcake pan evenly
  18. Cover
  19. Brush with egg
  20. Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 180°C
  21. Serve
