Five Ingredient Tomato and Halloumi Orzo

A quick five ingredient orzo dish using tinned cherry tomatoes, basil pesto and halloumi, add seasoning to your taste and as an optional extra dried or fresh herbs could also be added.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

500 g orzo
900 g tinned cherry tomatoes
250 g vegetable stock, hot
1 Tbsp green pesto
250 g halloumi


Instructions

STEP 1/2

Roughly chop ⅓ halloumi and cut the rest into 2 cm squares.
Add orzo, tomatoes, vegetable stock, pesto and the roughly chopped halloumi into the Appliance bowl , fit the splashguard.
Cook for 10 minutes at 105ºC, speed Stir 2.
Cook for 12 minutes at 98ºC, speed Stir 3.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.

STEP 2/2

Preheat a frying pan on a high heat.
Add the remaining halloumi pieces into the frying pan.
Dry fry until golden on a high heat.

 

To serve
Serve the orzo with the fried halloumi on top.
